Creswell Crags (Derbyshire)

Creswell Crags is a limestone gorge, honeycombed with caves and smaller fissures. Stone tools and remains of animals found in the caves by archaeologists provide evidence for a fascinating story of life during the last Ice Age, between 50,000 and 10,000 years ago.

High Pasture Cave (Skye)
The High Pasture Cave & Environs Project began in 2003, following the discovery of Late Bronze Age and Iron Age deposits in the cave. Geophysical survey and excavation has continued at the site and on-going post-excavation analysis is underway on a rich dataset of cultural finds and human remains. Surface surveys have revealed a range of stone-built prehistoric and historic structures in the landscape, indicating the use of the land over an extended period of time.
